Do critics of Mao and Stalin actually care about those millions of people? Saying that they killed or allowed 20 to 60 million to die is one thing but whether or not one actually cares about them is another. So how many would actually care?

Putin's Kiss
I just came back from seeing the movie Putin’s Kiss, a documentary the pro-Kremlin youth movement Nashi. The film paints a horrifying picture of this movement - think Hitler youth - and follows Masha, a 20ish organizer for Nashi who, as she gains more responsibility and moves higher up in the organization structure, also becomes more disillusioned with the movement, its leaders, and methods....

A Half-Baked Plan for Greece
I have been researching the Eurozone for Congress this weekend. Specifically, the bill calls for a suggestion from the president that the common currency be abolished. While I understand the crisis pretty well and the feeling that the euro is bringing everyone down, I don’t think total disunion is the key.
But neither is increased austerity. No one wants to see Athens burn to the ground.
